Allied health professionals are university qualified health professionals that are not part of recognized medical, dental or nursing professions. Instead, they offer specialized expertise in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of specific range of illnesses and conditions.
They are often part of a larger team of multi-disciplinary professionals that work together to provide specialised support for a patient’s needs. These dedicated professionals work with patients to provide the therapies and treatments not offered by the medical, dental or nursing community. Some of the areas and treatments they offer are:

Allied Health Professional Australia (AHPA)
The AHPA are the main body of allied health professionals in Australia. They are the nationally recognized voice of and advocate for the role of allied health professionals in health, aged care, disability, education and all other areas which allied health professionals have an active and necessary therapeutic role.
They represent around 100,000 health professionals all across Australia which collectively deliver over 200 million healthcare services annually.
Kiah Paetz - Dietitian
Kiah Paetz is a North Lakes Dietitian operating out of Specialist Medical Care Australia. Kiah graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with Honours and is a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. She is passionate about improving patient health outcomes, prevention of chronic disease and educating patients in health and nutrition. All medicare and DVA claimable consultations with Kiah will be bulk billed through Medicare meaning no out of pocket expenses for her patients.
Regina Tilyard - Dietitian
Regina Tilyard is our new Accredited Practising Dietitian at Specialist Medical Care Australia in North Lakes. Regina graduated in 2018 after completing a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics with Honours at the Queensland University of Technology. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve their health and lifestyle goals by enhancing their knowledge of food and nutrition, developing mindful eating habits and collaborating on achievable dietary strategies.
Madelyn Page - Podiatrist
Madelyn Page is an experienced, caring North Lakes podiatrist currently consulting at Specialist Medical Care Australia. She provides individualised, patient-centred care for all concerns relating to the feet and lower limbs. Madelyn also has an interest in complex care, diabetes and ingrown nails. All medicare and DVA claimable consultations with Madelyn will be bulk billed through Medicare meaning no out of pocket expenses for our patients
Mitchell Vautin - Exercise Physiologist
Mitchell is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who has gained a wealth of experience in the industry in a short amount of time. Mitchell’s experience includes rehabilitation with complex cardiac conditions, diabetes, neurological disorders, chronic pain, elite athletes and preventative and rehabilitative programs in indigenous health. All medicare and DVA claimable consultations with Mitchell will be bulk billed, meaning there are no out of pocket expenses..
Yamini Kapoor - Physiotherapist
Yamini has over 10 years’ experience working with spinal pain patients, women’s health and chronic pain in India and Australia. She takes pride in exercise prescription to rehabilitate individuals from all sectors of life whether that is sport, work, leisure or day-to-day life.
Kerry Porter - Diabetes Educator
Kerry Porter has over 18 years experience working in diabetes. She is an endorsed Nurse Practitioner and a credentialed diabetes educator. She has vast experience in both the public and private sector working with children and adults with type 1, type 2, insulin pump therapy and diabetes in pregnancy. Kerry has worked in both the rural and urban health environments.
